Ms. Bacu is a graduate student at Harvard Medical School working towards a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety degree.

She currently works at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner and has served as a lecturer at Northeastern University in both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science programs. Her background is in Critical Care and Cardiac Surgery and has been on board committees at local and regional levels.

Ms. Bacu has volunteered in Rwanda, Africa for several years and facilitated transfer of knowledge related to safe surgery to local teams.
